Hello fellow adventurer!
Photography is a byproduct of my love of the outdoors, of seeing new places, and embarking on new adventures. These adventures have made such an impact on my life and I feel so lucky and fortunate to have been able to see such amazing sights. Through my lens I want to share these journeys with all of you so that they might inspire you to embark on your own set of adventures. I hope that my art reminds each and every person that adventure is out there, you just have to find it!

I find excitement in the quiet and unplanned wilderness both in the U.S. and abroad. I often find some of my most exhilarating adventures in the most unexpected places. My love of the US National Park system has fueled my passion for photography and for exploring new destinations. I'm so excited to share those experiences with all of you, in the hopes it will spark your own set of adventures.
My techniques are simple. Get up early, stay out late. Don't be afraid to change a plan in reaction to changing conditions, or that gut feeling. Don't be afraid to "freestyle" just to see what's out there. Walk around that next corner. Go just a little bit further. Research Research Research.
In 2016, I was fortunate to win a trip to South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. I never dreamed I would make it to the African continent. The adventures (and photo opportunities) were absolutely awe inspiring. It was an amazing experience, and one I will never forget.
I shoot exclusively on Canon EOS bodies and lenses, currently on a 5Ds and 7DMKII. For camera support, I use a variety to support devices including tripods and heads by Gitzo, 3 Legged Thing, Oben, and RSS. My preference, however, is to shoot handheld when possible to allow for maximum flexibility and agility. I don't go anywhere without my Black Rapid camera straps and Lexar Pro memory cards.
